We’ve been fans of Oreo’s marketing, but the cookie maker was really on its game during the Super Bowl.
As you may have heard, the third quarter was uninterrupted by a blackout that knocked out half the lights for close to 40 minutes. Oreo’s social media team was quick to pounce, tweeting the following image with the message: “Power Out?” No Problem.”
So, to sum up, on a day when companies paid upwards of 4 million dollars for 30 second commercials, the best ad of the day cost Oreo nothing.
