Lobster Dinner On A Cold Winter Night
Why it’s awesome: It hadn’t been long since I had seafood, considering the holidays had just passed but it had been a while since I had a full lobster for dinner, with nothing more than some garlic butter, a side of salad with a home made vinaigrette of garlic, salt, olive oil and red wine vinegar, some simple rice for starch and of course a chilled white wine to accompany it all…
Ingredients & Portions: Two 1 lbs lobsters and 125 of garlic butter….mmm….boiling water, salted, when the pot comes to a rolling boil, drop the lobsters in for approx 10-15 mins….you’ll know when they’re ready, they’ll be fire red….the melting of the butter is incredibly easy, either in a sauce pan at low heat or microwave….I would mix garlic butter with regular butter to cut the saltyness…or you can make your own with chopped or crushed garlic….even roasted garlic would be fantastic for this….
Servings: Well one lobster per person…so 2 servings…
Cook time & Directions: Total meal took less than 40 mins from start to finish and that includes setting the table, prepping the salad and serving the dishes….LOL….
For Dessert….we left the house in search of marshmallows at midnight! You wouldn’t suspect it to be a very tough mission to complete….but at midnight….it wasn’t easy! But well worth the effort I must say….
Needless to say that this was the perfect dessert for this weather and occasion….sitting by the roaring fire drinking the rest of the wine and roasting marshmallows….so simple yet so awesome….
