Where did you have it: I will be having it after dinner tonight, for which I have decided to invite some friends over for dinner in honour of a birthday which was last weekend…instead of a traditional gift, the gift is the meal. A very typical Italian meal at that, I’ll be making tomato sauce with meatballs and sausage. Potato croquettes, although this is a long process, I love this dish…it’s gonna be a very starchy meal no doubt but also very tasty! To lighten it up a caprese salad antipasto….I’ve run out of ideas for the entrees but I think we’ll be properly stuff after this meal…and I’ll post pics on twitter as I progress throughout the cooking process…

I was one of the lucky guests. It was one of the best meals I ever had! We should never underestimate how good, comforting and convivial are traditional meals.
