Restaurant Rodos Food Protest Against Illegal Eviction
Rodos & Ermitage Restaurant of 5019 Queen-Mary Road in Montreal, are the last two businesses left in the building where there used to be over a dozen small businesses. Not having the resources to fight through legal means, most have left in search of re-establishing themselves. Rodos Restaurant and Ermitage are the only two left, fighting the good fight.
Rodos has been here for over 30 years and Ermitage has been around for nearly a decade now. Both have a loyal following and are trying to be forced out by the so-called “new owner” of the building, a numbered company affiliated with the company that initially owned the property.
Many of the establishments have left to start anew because they can’t afford the downtime nor the legal fees to fight this new landlord.
