Why Do Hipsters Prefer PBR?
Normally, I’d say because it’s cheap…however…yesterday, right before hitting a 9-hole golf course, we decided to get some beers. We dropped in to the local convenience store and discovered that they were gouging something awful! $25 for a 12 pack of canned Heinekens!?!? $12 for a 6 pack of Budweiser!??!?! COME ON!!! What was reasonable was the PBR! $12 bucks for 12 pack! Woot! So we went ahead and bought it! So, clearly, the cheapness factor is still dead on. Scary thing: it’s actually pretty good too!
We played nine holes and had about 9 beers between the two of us (probably because that’s all that fit in our golf bags) that an the endless supply of balls we needed just to finish those 9 holes. Needless to say, we both need practice. The best part of the day, though, was the PBR! (Also, the last hole I played was awesome. I pretty much killed the ball off the tee, which was nice…:)
Basically my take on it is that Hipsters have a good quality/price ratio in mind whenever they purchase or enjoy something. Therein lies the answer: PBR quality/price ratio = very good!
