How to Pick a Pineapple and why?
Buying a fresh pineapple is not as daunting as it may seem. The most important thing to remember in determining ripeness is smell. Your nose will help you decide. If you’re sick and can’t smell anything that day, well you can squeeze the eyes, usually a soft eye means a ripe pineapple lies beneath. But it’s important to be able to smell it, if you can’t have someone you’re with try giving it a whiff. A well ripened pineapple will omit a sweet and tropical aroma. Store your pineapple at room temperature until you’re ready to carve that baby up!
